Fastest Condo Sell-off in Montreal History
Five-hundred-fifty down, just two to go. Canderel says it’s the fastest condo sell-off in Montreal history. Canderel officials say they have only two penthouses left at the future new fifty-storey Tour des Canadiens. But before laying any cornerstones for the building, there’s the matter of bricks. Roughly twelve-thousand of them, each engraved and each payed for by a Canadiens hockey fan. The construction of the condo tower means tearing up Centennial Plaza outside the Bell Centre, with the engraved bricks and of course the bronze statues of Habs greats like Beliveau, Lafleur and Morenz. The statues will be moved to, and brand new fans’ bricks layed at the nearby Windsor Court, between the Bell Centre and Windsor Station.
